Recent Works
I recently took my a trip to Chicago with my parents. As luck would have it, the Chicago Botanical Garden was near our hotel, and I had a brief couple hours to explore before the long ride home on Monday morning. As a bonus, there was an early morning fog in the air. I couldn't have asked for better conditions.

Mushrooms and Lichens
I've been taking more interest in the mushroom kingdom lately. I'm especially interested in the medicinal mushrooms, such as shitake, maitake, reishi, chaga, turkey tail, etc. I'm going to join the Minnesota Mycological Society so I can learn to properly identify anything I come across.

Crosby Park
Crosby Park is in St. Paul, adjacent to the Mississippi. I was on my way to work one morning when I happened upon the perfect conditions: pre-dawn light caressing the horizon, a dense fog in the river valley, a briskness in the still air, and all about me shimmering with dew. I was more than a little late that morning.

Little Log House Pioneer Village
Every year at the end of July, the little log house pioneer village in Hastings, MN., hosts the antique power show. There are many old vehicles on display- model T's, old fire engines, tractors, trucks, etc. Even the buildings are old- a photographer's dream. Many thanks to Cory and his dad for inviting me down there, it was a blast.
